Mr Kitching’s London

Hot on the heels of my Alan Kitching video post, I received an invite this week to the opening of his exhibition of new letterpress prints.

It will be the first time all of his typographic maps of London (Broadside Series I - X) have been shown together. It features the excellent ‘Dr Johnson’s London’, ‘Printing in London’ (an historical overview) and my favourite the ‘Clerkenwell Typographic Map’.

It’s maybe worth noting that the British Government’s The Government Art Collection has started adding some of these prints to its archive. Could make a good investment…

The exhibition opens on 11th July and continues until 11th August 2012.
